Africa-Press – Ghana. The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has announced that the 50th edition of the annual SWAG Awards will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
This year’s edition will mark the golden jubilee edition of the prestigious event since its inception in 1975, commemorating a celebration of excellence in honouring the country’s best sporting heroes and heroines.
This milestone event according to the leadership of the association promises to be a spectacular occasion, honouring outstanding achievements in sports and recognizing the best of the best in the year under review and all-time best in the last 50 years.
This year’s ceremony will be a grand celebration of five decades of promoting sports excellence, featuring a star-studded lineup, captivating performances, and memorable moments as the crème de la crème of Ghana’s sports industry and high profiled personalities gather to celebrate and honour sports excellence to inspire future stars.
As part of the golden jubilee celebrations, SWAG will organize a series of activities leading up to the main event, all aimed at promoting partnerships, sports development and excellence in Ghana.
The leadership has made a passionate appeal to all stakeholders to partner this golden jubilee commemoration of the prestigious and longest awards in Ghana.
