Tadi girls kidnap: Akufo-Addo must resign – Odike

Akwasi Addai Odike, former Presidential Candidate of the United Front Party (UFP) has called for the resignation of President Nana Addo over the kidnapped Takoradi girls.

According to Mr. Odike in interview monitored , Ghanaians are no longer safe under Nana Addo’s leadership and therefore the President must resign from his position and allow someone who can guarantee the safety of citizens to take over.

Speaking with Citizen Kofi Owusu on Ahotor FM he said the President has failed the families of the Takoradi missing girls as well as the entire country, by this he has justified his incompetency.

“The president has failed the families of the kidnaped girls as well as the entire families, the Canadian girls were found within days, but our own more than a year, and we are still joking with it…we are save under Nana Addo’s government he must resign”, he said.

Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, a third year student of the University of Education, Winneba, was kidnapped on August 17, 2018 at Kansaworodo, while Ruth Love Quayson, 18, a Fijai Senior High School leaver in Sekondi was kidnapped on December 4, 2018 at Butumegyabu junction in Takoradi, with Priscilla Mantebea Kuranchie, 15, a first-year student of Sekondi College, kidnapped on December 21, 2018 at a spot near Nkroful junction.

The man suspected to be behind the kidnappings, Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, who broke cell and escaped from the custody of the Takoradi Metropolitan Police Command on 30th December 2018, was re-arrested by the police.

Samuel Udoetuk-Wills a Nigerian who is said to be the Chief mastermind of the act was jailed recently but is still facing other charges before Sekondi High Court.
