Africa-Press – Ghana. The TDC Ghana Limited has trained and passed out 38 new members of its security task force to provide security excellence and a disciplined institution.
The security task force members underwent an intensive two-week training programme conducted in collaboration with the First Infantry Battalion (1BN) at Michel Camp.
Mr Courage K. M. Nunekpeku, the Managing Director of TDC, during the passing-out ceremony, expressed deep appreciation to the IBN for their continued support in shaping TDC’s Security Task Force into a disciplined and professional unit.
Mr Nunekpeku described the occasion as a proud moment in TDC’s history, emphasising that discipline, emotional intelligence and first aid competence are critical attributes for effective security operations.
He disclosed that future task force recruitments would be done collectively to ensure uniform training and consistent standards among all recruits.
The TDC managing director encouraged the newly trained personnel to serve as good ambassadors of TDC, perform their duties with integrity, and contribute to maintaining safety and order within the Tema Acquisition Area, particularly in addressing issues of encroachment.
He also commended Lieutenant Colonel Frank Adams, the Commanding Officer of the 1BN, for his leadership and steadfast collaboration, reaffirming TDC’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Ghana Armed Forces.
He announced that all national service personnel posted to the company would now undergo a mandatory two-week basic military and disciplinary training before assuming their duties, explaining that the initiative was designed to instill discipline, teamwork and professionalism across the organisation.
