TEIN is the Intellectual Heartbeat of NDC – Dr Dogbe

Africa-Press – Ghana. Dr Wisdom Dogbe, the Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC), has urged members of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to uphold the values of the party and promote unity.

He said TEIN remained a critical platform for grooming future leaders and strengthening the intellectual foundation of the NDC.

Dr Dogbe made the call at the handing-over ceremony of the St. Teresa’s College of Education’s TEIN executives on Monday, where he encouraged members to remain committed to the ideals of discipline, loyalty and service.

“TEIN is the training ground where the next generation of legislators, ministers, diplomats, technocrats, educators and even future Presidents are moulded,” he said.

“TEIN is not merely a student wing; it is the intellectual heartbeat of our great party. It is the platform for growth and mentorship.”

Dr Dogbe stressed the importance of unity among members, noting that a united front within TEIN would translate into a stronger political party and contribute to national development.

“When TEIN is united, NDC is strong and the country benefits,” he added.

Dr Dogbe said he had made it a personal principle to ensure that young people were involved in decision-making processes, explaining that their energy and creativity were indispensable in building effective teams and delivering results.

He advised the newly elected executives to lead with integrity and work to deepen engagement among members on campus, while promoting the policies and programmes of the party.

The TEIN, the student wing of the NDC, has over the years played a significant role in political mobilisation, particularly across tertiary institutions, contributing to party organisation and campaign activities.

St. Teresa’s College of Education, an all-female institution, was established on November 1, 1961, with 35 pioneer students drawn from the then nine regions of Ghana.

It was founded by the late Rt. Rev. Anthony Konings, Bishop of the Keta Diocese, and continues to train teachers for the country.
