Africa-Press – Ghana. The Tema Presbytery of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC) has commissioned a newly constructed Office Complex and Manse at Sakumono, Accra.

The one-storey edifice, valued at GHC1,900,000.00, was financed through the Presbytery’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF) and contributions from church members, will serve as a hub for administrative operations and the official residence of the Presbytery Chairman.

Dedicating the project at the 2025 Presbytery Representative Conference, Right Reverend (Rt. Rev.) Prosper Samuel Dzormeku, Moderator of the GEC, praised the Presbytery’s commitment to infrastructure development.

“The project marks a significant milestone for the Church and signifies a new era of growth and efficiency for the Presbytery,” he said.

The office complex includes ensuite offices for the Presbytery Chairman and Clerk, accounts and general offices, a conference hall, and a kitchenette. The manse provides a comfortable residence for the Chairman.

Rt. Rev. Dzormeku urged Church Ministers to provide quality leadership, commitment, and selflessness in promoting the Church’s growth.

He said the Tema Presbytery’s achievements were a source of inspiration for the Church and a demonstration of the power of collaboration and dedication.

“Your dedication and achievements are a source of inspiration, and I urge you to keep it up,” he said.

Rt. Rev. Dzormeku committed the building into God’s hands and urged members to continue praying for the Presbytery and the Church at large.

Rev. Jedidiah Azumah, Tema Presbytery Chairman, said that the new office complex and manse would enhance operational efficiency and help them focus on their spiritual duties.

He stated that as the Presbytery expanded and progressed, the new office complex and manse would be instrumental in supporting its future initiatives.

Rev. Azumah expressed gratitude to his predecessors for initiating the project and all contributors to its completion.

“I am grateful to my predecessors, the project committee, and all who allowed the good Lord to use them to make this day a success and reality,” he said.

Attendees included Rev. Samuel K.O. Attuh, First Chairman of the Presbytery; Rev. Lawrence K.T. Ganyo, Immediate Past Chairman; and Apostle Jude Hama, Former Secretary General, Scripture Union Ghana.

Others were Apostle Dr. Sampson Dorkornoo, General Overseer, Living Bread Missions, and Former President, Ghana Evangelical Missions Association; and Lawyer James Enu, Member of Parliament, Tema West Constituency.

Established a decade ago after separating from the Accra Presbytery, Tema Presbytery currently oversees 36 pastoral stations, 51 congregations, and has a membership of about 23,000.
