Ghana defender Baba Rahman has joined Reading on a season long loan from Chelsea.

Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively reported on Tuesday that the left-back had signed a contract, and the English Championship have now made an official announcement.

The Chelsea player has returned to Reading on loan for the second consecutive season after spending last season there.

“We are delighted to announce that Baba Rahman has sealed a return to Reading Football Club for a second season-long loan spell in blue and white hoops,” Reading announced.

The 26-year-old Ghana international, scored 12 goals last season and chipped in with 10 assists for Freiburg.

He was a target for several Bundesliga side but Kofi Kyereh opted to join Freiburg.

“SC Freiburg have added a signing in the form of Daniel-Kofi Kyereh,” Freiburg confirmed on their official website.

“Daniel-Kofi Kyereh was, with 12 goals and 10 assists, one of the most effective attacking midfielders in the Bundesliga 2 last season. For the Millerntor club and, before joining them, SV Wehen Wiesbaden, he has scored and set up 27 goals each in 91 second-division appearances

The 23 year old spent the 2021/2022 season on loan at FC Nantes, helping them to the French Cup title.

Bukari has been impressive since joining Red Star Belgrade this campaign.

The Ghana international has scored four goals in six games for the club.

He scored his first hattrick in a UEFA Champions League qualifiers for Red Star last month.

The Black Stars became a free agent in July when he parted ways with Beitar Jerusalem.

He scored six goals and assisted two for the Israeli side last season.

“PAE Lamia is pleased to announce the start of its partnership with 29-year-old (28/01/1993) international, Ghanaian striker, Richmond Boakye,” the club announced on the signing of the Ghana international.

“The experienced Ghanaian has previously played for Genoa in Italy, Sassuolo, Atalanta, Juventus, Latina Calcio, Elche in Spain, Ronda in the Netherlands, Red Star in Serbia, Jiangsu Suning in China, Gornik Zabrze in Poland, while last year he played in Israel with Beitar Jerusalem.”

Boakye stated on the team’s official website after signing his contract: “I am very happy to be in the Lamia team. It is a special challenge for my career and I hope we can all achieve our goals together.”

Though the terms of the contract were not disclosed by the two clubs, Afena-Gyan is expected to have signed a long-term contract.

In addition, Cremonese will reportedly pay €6 million in salary and bonuses, with the Roma receiving an additional 10% of future sales.

The 19-year-old joined the Giallorossi’s youth system at the start of 2021, making his professional debut for the club later that same year.

The defender makes a return to France after spending the 2021/22 season with Bordeaux.

Mensah joined Red Bull Salzburg in 2017 and has since had loan spells at Sturm Graz, Zulte Waregem, Vitória Sport Clube, and Bordeaux.

The 24-year-old joins the club from French side Amiens SC and has signed a contract until 2026 after passing his medicals.

Lomotey has joined the Swedish giants on a four-year deal from French club Amiens.

The former Dreams FC midfielder was unveiled by the club but was unable to make his debut against Sundsvall due to work visa issues.

The 21-year-old joins Cercle Brugge from Danish Superliga side Nordsjaelland on a three-year contract.

Francis Abu scored seven goals and registered five assists for Nordsjaelland in the 2021/22 season.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has completed a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old England forward has not played for Chelsea this campaign and made 15 Premier League appearances last season.

Hudson-Odoi has struggled to find opportunities since returning from a crippling Achilles injury last season, and Thomas Tuchel has not made room for the 21-year-old after signing Raheem Sterling.

Leverkusen were third in Germany’s Bundesliga in 2021-22 and are in this season’s Champions League group stages.

Opoku, 23, has joined the side from fellow Bundesliga II side Hamburg SV for the 2022-23 season.

“FC Kaiserslautern has strengthened its offensive with Aaron Opoku. The 23-year-old former junior international is moving from Hamburger SV to Betzenberg, a club statement read.

“We’re happy that in Aaron Opoku we’ve been able to recruit a quick switch player and an excellent assist provider who can also be a goal threat. He can be used variably on offense and will make our game more unpredictable. We are glad that Aaron fully identifies with our path and our goals and wants to help with our development,” says FCK Managing Director Thomas Hengen.

Ghana defender Stephan Ambrosius has completed his move to German Bundesliga II side Karlsruher.

The 23-year-old joins the club on a season-long loan from Hamburg SV.

“I am very happy to be here in Karlsruhe. I want to help the team with my positive nature, I will give my all for them and I’m looking forward to being on the pitch with the lads soon,” said Ambrosius after sealing the move.
