Africa-Press – Ghana. Germany-born duo of Patrick Pfeiffer and Stephen Ambrosious has become high Ghana targets ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Ghana Football Association are working around the clock to get Europe-born Ghanaian players for the biggest soccer mundial later this year with Pfeiffer and Ambrosious no exception.
Other players to be on the list of players the Ghana FA intend to convince to switch allegiance include Callum Hudson-Odoi, Eddie Nketiah, Tariq Lamptey, Inaki Williams and Nico Williams.
The Germany-born duo are high targets for the domestic football governing body and will explore the best available options to naturalize them to play for the Black Stars.
Pfeiffer, who is a center-back plies his trade for Darmstadt 98 in the German Bundesliga.
Despite featuring for Germany at junior levels, he is eligible to play for the West African powerhouse.
Ambrosious, who plays for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga, has already capped for the Germany U-21 team but is still eligible to play for Ghana.
The Ghana FA sees the duo as the future of the national team considering their age and exploits and will try all possible means to naturalize them.
