Africa-Press – Ghana. The Oti Region has officially commenced the vetting process for 143 Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) aspirants.

The event, which is taking place at the Regional Secretariat, Emma Plaza in Dambai, is chaired by Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister-designate

The primary objective of this vetting process is to assess the qualifications and suitability of aspirants for the MDCEs positions.

This rigorous evaluation will ensure that only the most competent and capable individuals are selected to lead the region’s municipalities and districts.

Several aspirants, including Mr James Edu Donkor and Mr Zulkiphil Al-hassan Osmanu, have commended the vetting committee for its professionalism in the ongoing exercise.

The aspirants expressed appreciation for the Committee’s thorough and transparent evaluation process.

In an interview, Mr Donkor, a retired educationist, shared his vision for the municipality, emphasising the need for economic growth, infrastructure development, and improved healthcare services.

Mr Osmanu, a former Parliamentary aspirant, outlined his development agenda, focusing on education, job creation, and community empowerment.

He highlighted his previous partnerships with organizations such as MTN Ghana to extend network coverage to underserved communities.
