Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana forward Andre Ayew scored his 12th goal of the season by getting a brace in Al Sadd 5-1 win over Al Gharafa at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Qatar StarS League.
The 33-year-old has been in fine form since joining the team after Ghana’s exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
Abdelkarim Hassan gave the Qatari champions the lead after two minutes before Akram Afif was sent off after eleven minutes, Al Sadd playing the rest of the game with 10 men.
Santi Cazorla scored the third goal for the visitors in 74 minutes before Gabriel pulled one back for the hosts three minutes later.
Andre Ayew came on as a substitute for Santi Carzola and scored just four minutes later.
The Black Stars captain tapped in the ball for the fifth goal of the game in the dying minutes.
The former Swansea City forward has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances this season.
