Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Mawutor Agbavitor, the Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has commended Mr Samuel Gyamfi, the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod for his contributions to national development during a courtesy visit.

Mr Agbavitor, was part of Regional the Chairmen of the NDC, who paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, to acknowledge his ongoing contributions to national service.

He said the visit formed part of efforts to recognise and encourage individuals whose work continues to impact communities and the broader national agenda positively. “When good work is seen, it must be acknowledged, for encouragement to sharpen excellence,” he stated.

He noted that leadership required identifying partners whose initiatives aligned with national development goals and said GoldBod’s role in enterprise support and economic advancement deserved commendation.

The meeting, held on February 10, 2026, created an opportunity for the Regional Chairman to spotlight the Volta Region’s pressing developmental needs and employment challenges.

He expressed optimism that GoldBod’s mandate could complement ongoing interventions.

He said bringing the Region into such national-level conversations remained essential and insisted that leaders must remain connected to their roots despite their broader responsibilities.

“A leader may leave home, but home must never leave the leader,” he remarked.

The Chairman reaffirmed his commitment to championing the interests of the Volta Region in all engagements, saying, “In every room of opportunity, the interests of Volta remain my priority.”

Mr Gyamfi expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the delegation of GoldBod’s readiness to explore areas of mutual benefit in advancing growth within the Region.
