We will rain curses on you if we get relegated – Dan Quaye to Hearts of Oak players

Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana Premier League icon Dan Quaye has issued a stern warning to the players of Hearts of Oak, cautioning them of potential curses should the club face relegation.

In a recent interview with Akoma FM, Quaye expressed concerns over the club’s recent form and suggested that relegation could be a looming possibility following their defeat to Accra Lions.

Quaye, who played for Hearts of Oak in the mid-2000s, emphasised the gravity of the situation, drawing parallels to Santos FC’s relegation from the Brazilian league despite their illustrious history.

“It all depends on the players,” he said.

“Because Santos in Brazil have been in existence for many years, but they have now been relegated, so if these players continue with their sloppy attitude and watch Hearts of Oak go on relegation, then a curse will be upon them because Hearts never even placed 10th during our time.”

He emphasized the responsibility of the current players, stating, “However, these boys have shattered every good record the club had, so they have to fix it. But if they decide to let us go on relegation, then we the Ga’s and Ashanti’s will rain curses on them. They have to be serious because where we find ourselves now is due to their performance,” he concluded.

Quaye highlighted the disappointment among fans due to the team’s poor performance in recent matches, asserting that the players have shattered the club’s previous records.

Hearts of Oak occupy the 12th spot in the league standings, tallying 35 points, and is slated to take on Berekum Chelsea in their upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture.
