Africa-Press – Ghana. Hasaacas Ladies delivered a spectacular performance to hammer debutants Army Ladies 4-1 in the match-day two of the Women’s Premier League game played at the Mcdan La Town Park in Accra on Boxing Day.
It was Comfort Owusu who scored first before Veronica Appiah, Doris Boaduwaa and Pepertual Agyekum wrapped up for Ellen Asonka to grab a consolation goal for her side.
Owusu opened the goal-scoring chart for her side in the 22nd minute before Veronica Appiah doubled the lead for the “doooo” lads 10 minutes after.
Army Ladies gave the visitors a tough match in the first 10 minutes of the game but the Sekondi-based club were too powerful for the homers.
With the Army Ladies chasing for a goal, it resulted in Doris Boaduwaa capitalizing on a defensive blunder to add her team’s third before recess.
Coach Yussif Basigi made two changes to the side that secured a 3-0 victory on matchday one against Lady Strikers.
Four minutes from the break, Perpetual Agyekum produced a fantastic free-kick to register her name on the scoresheet.
The visitors pushed for more goals until the hosts pulled a goal back on the 82nd minute to end the game 1-4 in favour of the visitors.
Hasaacas Ladies currently sit six points with plus six goals from two games and will meet Police Ladies at the weekend at Gyandu Park in Sekondi.
