Ghana forward Frank Acheampong on target for Shenzhen FC in China

Ghana forward Frank Acheampong scored but it was not enough as Shenzhen FC suffered a 4-2 defeat against Shandong Luneng in the Chinese top-flight.

Acheampong tried to force a comeback with his goal in the 44th minute, but Shandong managed to hold on and take three points.

The home side raced to a 4-1 lead in 33 minutes as their incessant attack overpowered Shenzhen’s defence.

Marouane Fellaini scored a brace with Xu Xin and Guo Tianyu scoring one each in the blistering 33 minutes for Shandong.

Li Yuanyi netted the away side’s only goal during that period.

Acheampong was fast to get to a long ball and lobbed the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper into the back of the net. The Ghanaian got hurt in the process.

The winger has now scored three goals in 12 matches in the league this season.
