The event is expected to attract more than 500 children drawn from 20 countries and born between 2006 and 2011.

Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang presided over the official launch of the forthcoming championships at Ngong racecourse on Friday.

Belio thanked the ISF for nominating Kenya to host the 2024 World Schools Cross Country Championship.
