Africa-Press – Kenya. Kenya Power has notified residents of Mombasa, Kilifi, Nyeri and Uasin Gishu counties that some areas will go without power on Sunday.

In a power maintenance notice Friday evening, the company said the scheduled power outage will occur between 8 am to 5 pm in some of the listed counties.

Customers to be affected in Mombasa County are those within Shanzu, Utange and Kiembeni localities.

According to Kenya Power, the outage is expected to last between 8 am to 5 pm with the specific areas affected being Mshomoroni, Vikwatani, Mtopanga, Junda, Kiembeni, Bamburi, Utange, Kazdandani, Kashani, Kwa Bullo and Mwembelegeza.

Other areas include Bombolulu, KRA customs, Naivas Nyali, Baobab road, Third Avenue, Milele Beach, Pirates, Sai Rock Hotel, White Sands Hotel, Neptune, Travellers, Pride Inn Hotel, Shanzu, Majaoni, Shimo o la Tewa prison, Mama Ngina Girls High School and adjacent customers.

The outage in Uasin Gishu will be experienced between 9 am to 5 pm with Roadblock and Maili Nne being affected.

Areas to be affected include Raiply industry, Pipeline, Mti Moja, Kahoya estate, Roadblock, Khetias supermarket, Maili nne estate, Majengo Catholic church, Kiplombe, Ziwa centre, Maji Mazuri Flowers and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri county, part of Nyeri town will be affected with Kenya Power saying the outage will last between 9 am to 1 pm.

Maathai supermarket, Nyeri police station, Samrat supermarket, Chieni supermarket, Equity bank, Safaricom Limited, Multi choice offices, Governors office, cooperative Bank, Absa Bank, Peak Business centre and adjacent customers will be affected.

Other parts of Nyeri that will be affected also include Highlands Minerals, Agriplast Limited, Eliezer Ltd, Mathari Hospital, Cocacola water pumb, outspan medical college, Chania Rwamba, Italian Memorial church and adjacent customers.

In Kilifi County, the power outage will occur between 8am to 5pm affecting Kilifi township, Baricho, Vipingo, Kikambala and Kanamai localities.

Areas to be affected by the scheduled power interruption in Kilifi township and Baricho include Kilifi prisons, Bofa residential, Bofa quarries, Baobab hotel, Kilifi Hotel, Kilifi County Hospital, Kiwandani, Sea Horse Hotel, St Thomas Mkoroshoni, Kibaoni, Navy, Pwani University, Desalination plant and Rojo.

Others include Kakanjuni, Ganze, Vitengeni, Kasava, New Life Ministries, Mwarakaya, Palakumi, Jaribuni, Sokoke, Matano Manne, Mwapula, Dzikunze, Mnarani, Kilifi plantation, Vipingo industries, Shauri Moyo, Kadzinuni and adjacent customers.

In Vipingo, Kikambala and Kanamai, the areas affected include Mombasa Cement, Whole of Mtwapa, Pwani oil, Tiger packaging, Flamboyant, vipingo industries, Baharini Pri, Kadzengo,Kitchen king, Mzuri II, Mega Couture, My Pasta, Kikambala Posta, part of Elsek estate and Bodoi stage.

Ndune fish farm, Afriware EPZ, Total Amkeni, revital EPZ, Madina, Msumarini Madrassa, Safepak Pride Industries, Jallaram plastics, North Coast Beach Hotel, Whispering Palms, Gurdum Villa, Xanadu Beach Villa, Royal Reserve Hotel, Ahadi Beach Villas, Salama Beach, Kanamai Timboni and Barani dispensary will alos be affected.

Safi sana Ltd, Barani Flour Farm, Barani primary, Kwa Mutua, Kwa Kariuki, Toto Dogo, Kwa Mwamweni, wa Mwavutswa, Glacier Foods, Cocacola Bottlers, Mtwapa Gardens, Ashut plastics, Mombasa apparel, Brilliant EZP, Greenwood Resort, KMA, Aljazeera Estate, Ogalis, Golden Key Ndogo, Kwa Mwalimu Omar, Mzuri sweets I, Tropical sea life and Dada millers will also be affetced.

Kenya Power has also listed Mwatundo, Rise & Shine, Majengo Mapya, Coast Apparel, Jodari millers, Oasis hospital, Petrocity Ndonya, Mtwapa sokoni, Handshake hotel, Animo resort, Chaurembo, Chilla farm, Migingo, Mtepeni primry, Kipepeo, Peacock resort, Mawenzi Resort, Mzambarauni, Shell Mtwapa and adjacent customers as those to be affected.
