Africa-Press – Kenya. The Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO) has announced a public auction of 50 properties spread across the country, with the exercise set to take place in three phases on June 5, 10, and 13 this year.
However, Kenyans.co.ke could not immediately confirm whether the auction was concerning the ongoing financial disputes at the body after a forensic report revealed widespread irregularities amounting to Ksh12 billion in financial losses within the national body.
Meanwhile, the auction will be conducted by Watts Auctions on behalf of KUSCCO, targeting buyers seeking residential, commercial, or undeveloped land in different counties.
Among the properties listed for auction are multi-storey buildings, maisonettes, bungalows, vacant plots, and commercial units.
These are located in prime and developing areas such as Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos, Kisumu, Homabay, and Kiambu.
Notable among the listings is a multi-storey dwelling block in Kisumu behind the Community Life Church and a plot in Kisian.
