Africa-Press – Kenya. Kenya Airways has cancelled two flights between Nairobi and New York due to adverse weather conditions in the United States.
In a customer update issued on January 24, 2026, the airline said snowstorms had affected operations, leading to the cancellation of Flight KQ 002 from Nairobi (NBO) to New York (JFK) scheduled for January 24, and Flight KQ 003 from New York (JFK) to Nairobi (NBO) scheduled for January 25.
The airline said the decision was made with safety in mind. “The safety of our guests and crew remains our highest priority, and these cancellations have been made in the interest of safe operations,” Kenya Airways said.
The national carrier added that its teams are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to update customers while assessing conditions and providing further guidance.
Kenya Airways also indicated that additional disruptions are possible.
The airline said Flight KQ 002 from Nairobi to New York on Sunday, January 25, 2026, may also be affected. This could in turn impact Flight KQ 003 from New York to Nairobi on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The airline apologised to affected passengers for the inconvenience caused and thanked them for their patience and understanding.
