Africa-Press – Kenya. CFAO Kenya has opened a new Case IH agricultural machinery showroom in Mnazi Mmoja, Mombasa.
This marks one of the biggest investments in farming equipment infrastructure the coastal region has seen in years. The facility was unveiled at a ceremony attended by international executives from CNH Industrial, CFAO Kenya executives, and Mombasa County government leaders.
Vincent DeLassange, Vice President of CNH Middle East and Africa, noted that Kenya is one of Africa’s most dynamic agricultural markets, adding that the investment demonstrates the company’s confidence in supporting key advances in food security.
“We are keen to build partnerships with Kenyan farmers and support the country’s agricultural transformation. We do this through world-class technology and continuous technical support,” said DeLassange.
CFAO Group Chairman and Country Delegate Ambassador Dennis Awori reiterated that the opening of the Mombasa showroom represents a significant vote of confidence in Kenya’s agricultural sector and Mombasa’s strategic position as a gateway to East Africa.
“CFAO Group’s investment in this world-class facility demonstrates our long-term commitment to supporting Kenya’s farmers with the technology and services they need to compete globally. We believe that agricultural mechanisation is fundamental to achieving food security, creating employment, and driving rural prosperity across this nation,” said Awori.
Mombasa County leadership, led by Deputy Governor H.E. Francis Thoya and Hon. Ibrahim Khamis Mutwafy, the County Executive for Blue Economy, Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives, lauded CFAO Kenya for the massive investment, terming the move a boost and a key economic driver in Mombasa County.
“This is a testament to our unwavering resolve to ensure that key partnerships prioritise our local farmers. The county’s commitment to backing private investments that boost farm productivity, create jobs, and enhance food security and yield improvement remains strong. We thank CFAO Kenya for their solid investment in the sector,” said H.E. Francis Thoya.
CASE IH Agriculture’s tractor portfolio spans 55 to 700 HP, offering Kenyan farmers unprecedented choice across five distinct series designed to meet diverse agricultural demands. The lineup significantly expands mechanisation options for Kenya’s agriculture sector. It positions CASE IH as a complete solutions provider—from small-scale specialty farming to large commercial operations.
At the compact end, the JXT series delivers 35–75 HP across five models. These feature 3- and 4-cylinder engines in naturally aspirated and turbocharged configurations that meet Tier 3 emissions standards.
The JXT Compact models—JX35T, JX40T, and JX45T—excel in space-constrained operations. They offer turning radii as tight as 3.1 metres and inverted U-section axles, making them ideal for greenhouse work, orchards, vineyards, and small-scale intensive farming. Ground clearance of up to 500mm and adjustable tread dimensions ensure versatility across varied terrain.
The standard JX55T and JX75T models step up performance with 4-cylinder turbocharged engines delivering 208–250 Nm of torque. Mechanical 8-forward/2-reverse transmissions provide reliable operation, with optional 12-forward/3-reverse configurations for enhanced flexibility.
The mid-range segment features the FARMALL JXM and JX Straddle series, delivering performance in the 80–98 HP range. Both have robust turbocharged engines compliant with Tier III emissions standards.
The FARMALL JXM offers an advanced Synchromesh transmission with Power Shuttle, while the JX Straddle series provides specialised row-crop capability with adjustable tracking from 1,400–2,000mm.
For larger commercial operations, the Maxxum series covers 110–140 HP across three models. These feature advanced turbocharged and aftercooled engines with displacements from 4.5 to 6.7 litres. Hydraulic systems with Closed Centre Load Sensing technology provide flows of up to 80 litres per minute and lift capacities of up to 5,286 kg.
The flagship Puma series delivers 155–185 HP in the ROPS category. It features 6-cylinder turbo-intercooled engines with 6.7-litre displacement, producing up to 145 kW of maximum power and 760 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm. Advanced electro-hydraulic systems deliver 110 litres per minute and offer a 6,475 kg lift capacity.
All CASE IH tractors feature comprehensive safety systems, proven reliability, and fuel-efficient operation. Tank capacities range from 60 to 395 litres, depending on the model.
Factory-trained technicians and genuine parts available through the established dealer network ensure minimal downtime, maximising productivity for Kenyan farmers investing in modern mechanisation solutions.
Beyond tractors, the showroom will stock ploughs for different soil types, disc harrows for seedbed preparation, boom sprayers with precise application control, and planters with accurate seed metering. These implements are designed to work seamlessly with Case IH tractors for optimal performance.
Case IH tractors have earned a reputation among Kenyan farmers for durability in diverse conditions, from coastal humidity to highland zones. For coastal and regional farmers, the showroom addresses the challenges of imported equipment purchases by offering quality products, advanced technology, certified technicians, available parts, and educational resources—all in one place.
