200 golfers expected at the 19th leg of NCBA Series

Africa-Press – Kenya. The par-72 Royal Nairobi Golf Club will host the 19th leg of the ongoing NCBA Golf Series on Saturday, with members set to compete for the top five positions that will guarantee them a place in the grand finale.

Over 200 golfers are expected to the course, bringing to over 2,700 the total number of golfers who will have taken part in the series since its inception in January this year.

whichThe ‘Royal’ event is one of three events that form the series before action culminates in the grand finale which will be held at the Karen Country Club on December 3.

With conditions in the lead up to the event expected to be sunny and pleasant, golfers can expect the course to play hard and fast, presenting a unique challenge to golfers.

Speaking ahead of the event, NCBA Group managing director, John Gachora, said: “We are pleased to be hosting the 19th tournament of the NCBA Golf Series this weekend.

NCBA Golf series has received great support from golfers so far and their dedication and commitment towards improving their game are commendable.”

“Royal is a spectacular golf venue that takes pride in being the “real home of golf” by virtue of being the oldest golf club in the country. We are therefore delighted to have our series being part of this historic golf venue’s history. We look forward to seeing great, competitive golf over the weekend, as golfers compete for some of the last available slots for the grand finale.”

85 golfers have so far qualified to play at the grand finale in December —being five top finishers from each of the 17 seniors’ events that have so far been held. These include two junior golfers who emerged overall winners at respective tournaments in Karen and Limuru Golf Clubs.
