Africa-Press – Kenya. The Central Bank of Kenya has made a final call for interested candidates to send their applications for its internship programme.
The CBK has been running an internship programme that seeks to develop a pool of young talents adequately exposed to central and commercial banking operations.
“Last day! Don’t miss the deadline for application to the CBK Internship Program. Applications close at 11:59 p.m. Today, Monday August 22, 2022,” CBK said in a statement.
Opportunities are available in Finance, Research, Banking and Payment Services, Human Resources, Communications and Legal Services.
CBK said the internship programme we take six months after which the candidates are released to pursue opportunities in the job market.
It clarified that it will not offer employment opportunities on completion of the internship but applicants can apply for any jobs that may be advertised by the bank.
“The objective of the internship programme is to develop and prepare young talent to take up employment opportunities that come up in the Kenyan Banking and Financial sector,” CBK said.
Applicants must be aged between 21 and 29 years and be degree holders in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Banking, Accounting, Micro-Finance, Law, Management or Social Sciences or a Masters degree in relevant field.
They must also have graduated within the last 24 months from closure of the internship advertisement and should not have prior working experience or internship.
Duly filled application forms must be submitted online via https://careers.centralbank.go.ke:8443 attaching all relevant academic certificates or transcripts and a reference letter from applicant’s learning institution.
