Africa-Press – Kenya. Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi on Friday said he had cleared his desk at the State House.
Ngunyi took to Twitter saying it was a joy serving as a Technical Advisor to outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Today I cleared my desk at State House. And it was a joy serving President Uhuru Kenyatta as his Technical Assistant,” he said.
Ngunyi, an ardent critic of President-elect William Ruto, said the outgoing deputy president will serve for terms and be succeeded by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
“Now we must prepare for a Ruto Presidency until 2032. And then Gachagua until 2042.”
Until today (Friday) when he made his role at State House public, few knew what exactly he was doing at the house on the hill.
Uhuru is said to have brought him onboard immediately after the 2017 elections.
The analyst who shot into the limelight after he predicted Uhuru’s win in the 2013 general elections with his popular phrase ‘tyranny of numbers’ is famed for making radical political comments.
On July 13, 2022, he was among the 508 officials who received the State Commendations from Uhuru.
In a gazette Notice, Uhuru said they had been awarded due to their distinguished and outstanding services rendered to the country.
