Africa-Press – Kenya. Operations on the Nairobi Expressway were disrupted on Friday following a self–involved vehicle accident.

Embakasi subcounty police commander Makau Masai said a motorist lost control of his vehicle damaging the expressway during the incident that occurred on the Expressway near Nation Centre at around 9.30 pm.

Masai said the driver only identified as Mutuku didn’t sustain any injuries.

He said the incident was reported to Embakasi police station as a non-injury road traffic accident along Expressway causing damage.

“At around 21.30 hours near Nation Centre, Mutuku was driving a Subaru Impreza from Nairobi CBD direction towards Mlolongo when he lost control and veered off the road damaging four guardrails and one anti-collision steel pipe,” Masai said.

He spoke to the Star on the phone on Saturday.

He said the vehicle was towed to Embakasi police station for inspection.
