Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto on Tuesday opened the Formation Commander’s Conference at the Moran Centre in Karen, Nairobi.
Its purpose is to enable Kenya Defence Forces(KDF) to enhance the social and economic security of the nation.
Moran Center is also meant to sustain a momentum of productive collaboration.
During the event, Ruto said that the Government will provide the policy and budgetary required to support KDF.
“The fast-changing technology is redefining national security. Kenya must develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the latest and most superior technology to counter special threats like terrorism and cybercrime that cannot be dealt with in usual conventional ways,”he said.
Ruto challenged KDF to develop solutions that confront threats with a futuristic mindset.
