Africa-Press – Kenya. Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula hosted a delegation from the African Organisation of Public Accounts Committees (AFROPAC) Executive Committee on Thursday.
The meeting dwelled on matters touching on the legal status of the association, activities of the body and future engagements.
AFROPAC’s secretariat is currently domiciled at the Parliament of Kenya,
It is an association of the national Parliamentary Accounts Committees responsible for examining the audited accounts of governments and government agencies in Africa.
The meeting was attended by the chairperson of PAC, Parliament of Uganda Medard Sseggona Lubega who is also the chairperson of AFROPAC, the chairperson of PAC Ghana and deputy chairperson of AFROPAC James Klutse Avedzi.
Others were the chairman Public Accounts Committee of Malawi and the Secretary-General of AFROPAC Mark Botomani and the project Coordinator AFROPAC Secretariat Stephanie Moute Mutisya.
