Ruto: I'll work with all elected leaders to deliver my mandate

Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto has said his administration will work with all the elected leaders to deliver Kenya Kwanza’s manifesto. Speaking during the launch of Taifa Gas in Dongo Kundu, Mombasa County, Ruto said he is determined to eradicate poverty across the country and stabilise the economy.

“Working with the elected leaders will enable our government fight drought, insecurity, unemployment and hunger,” he said. In recent days, the President has been meeting with Members of Parliament at State House, Nairobi, the latest being Jubilee legislators.

The 32 Jubilee members were both from the National Assembly and Senate, and they affirmed the President that they are committed to working with the ruling party.

“At this rate, we will close down our Jubilee house and join you because we are one,” MP Sarah Korere said.

“We don’t want to feel left out in your government so we kindly request you to include us in your development plans,” MP Sabina Chege.

Earlier in the month, Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua met nine MPS from Luo-Nyanza. DP Gachagua told the MPs that the President was willing and wants to work with everyone.
