Murang'a Seal seek to leapfrog Shabana in National Super League

Africa-Press – Kenya. Murang’a Seal coach Vincent Nyaberi is targeting a win against 7th-placed Naivas on Wednesday as the team targets to leapfrog Shabana in the National Super League.

A win will see Murang’a move to the top of the NSL log ahead of Shabana. The Glamour Boys are not in action on Wednesday but play arch-rivals Gusii FC on Sunday.

Shabana lead the log with 60 points with Murang’a Seal two points behind in second place.

On Tuesday, Nyaberi said: “My target is the top two position. We are remaining with five matches to go and we want to win all of them because the third and fourth-placed teams are breathing down our necks.”

He added: “Having a big squad has been a big advantage for us because we rotate players. We don’t want them to suffer from fatigue.”

At Awendo Green Stadium in Migori, fourth-placed Mara Sugar hope to pile pressure on third-placed Migori Youth when they host Kajiado FC. A win for Mara will see them move to 50 points same as Migori Youth.

Coastal Heroes collide with Darajani Gogo at Mbaraki grounds in the first of a double header from 1 pm while Mombasa Elite will battle Coast region rivals SS Assad at 3 pm.
