Africa-Press – Kenya. Felix Kandie believes there’s more to come from him after his maiden victory at the Chairman’s Prize golf tournament on Saturday at the Eldoret Golf Club.

“The victory was the beginning of better things to come even though I have been on the green course for just for months,” Kandie said.

The handicap 25 golfer who started playing in February, mastered 42 Stableford points to emerge victorious at the par 71 course.

“I would love to win on other golf courses not just here in Eldoret. Improving my handicap is a priority,” said Kandie.

Kandie, who teed off at 10:40 am, Saturday, had a perfect swing and also made minimal mistakes.

“I performed well. It was a pleasant feeling beating my long time friend Franklin Koko to the title. He won in a few holes but I emerged the best. I simply had the last laugh. The course was in perfect condition and that also played a role in my victory.”

Kandie added that thorough preparations especially before the tournament really helped him polish his weaknesses.
