Africa-Press – Kenya. Junior Starlets coach Beldine Odemba was impressed by the performance of the team following their 3-2 victory against Zetech Sparks at Moi International Stadium, Kasarani on June 18.
The juniors are preparing for the Cecafa under 18 championships that will be held in Nairobi this week “We have identified a few standout players who will undoubtedly contribute significantly to our pursuit of winning the tournament,” Odemba said.
The encounter proved to be a valuable test for the team, allowing them to identify areas that require improvement. The Junior Starlets are set to start their campaign on June 28.
Odemba has a week to further examine the squad after naming a 46-member provisional team. The squad is a blend of high school students and Premier League prodigies within the age category.
