Africa-Press – Kenya. ODM party leader Wycliffe Oparanya, Roots party leader George Wajackoyah and former Defense cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa have arrived in Luanda in Vihiga County for Saba Saba protests.
The leaders were led by Luanda MP Dick Maungu and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi. This is as transport services along the Kisumu-Busia road were disrupted as Azimio la Umoja supporters staged demonstrations in Luanda Town.
Locals raised their concerns over the high costs of living and the high cost of fuel. The locals further have lauded the area MP for voting against the Finance Bill in the Parliament.
Osotsi lamented over the high cost of living, citing that the Kenya Kwanza government must work to make life bearable for Kenyans. “We are going to fight for Kenyans and we must defend citizens,” Osotsi said. He urged the Kenya police to stop teargassing Kenyans who are protesting over the high cost of living.
