Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto has stamped authority against violence in Kenya.

Speaking at Konza city, Machakos County, Ruto insisted that he would not let violence be used as a tool to divide and destroy the country.

“We will not compete in violence in Kenya. That one I said won’t happen. Mambo ya vita na kupiganisha watu Kenya nimesema hapana. Haiwezi endelea hapa Kenya nikiwa rais. Hiyo tukubaliane,” he said on Thursday.

The Head of State vowed that he would do whatever it takes to protect Kenyans and their properties.

Ruto explained that violence undermines Kenya’s democracy, development and prosperity.

Speaking proudly of Kenya, the President acknowledged that he is the leader of a great country and we as Kenyans should not let ourselves down.

He urged the county governments to support his government and work together.
