Africa-Press – Kenya. Bishop Peter Machiuka of Harvest Christian Church in Igembe North has embarked on a 300-kilometre walk from Meru to Nairobi to deliver a message to President William Ruto.
Machiuka, 65, engaged in a similar walk in 2021 to deliver a message to Ruto ahead of the general election predicting that he would win.
He said his message was to ask Ruto to serve all Kenyans irrespective of their political affiliation.
“I have a prophetic message of thanksgiving that I am going to deliver to President William Ruto for the peaceful election and that he should serve all Kenyans without discrimination,” he said.
Machiuka was accompanied by five members of his church, among them, his wife Julia Mukomua Machiuka and daughter Joy Ngatha Machiuka.
He urged Kenyans to embrace peace and support Ruto to deliver on his manifesto.
Speaking on the third day of his journey, Machiuka said the walk started on Sunday, November 27, and that he expects to get to Nairobi on December 2.
The cleric called on Kenyans to support those who have been affected by drought.
