Africa-Press – Kenya. The British council has announced scholarship opportunities for Kenyan students linking them directly to top institutions in the United Kingdom.

According to the information regarding the scholarships released on Tuesday, November 16, the British Council has urged Kenyan students to apply for the scholarships that will see them funded to attend Universities listed in their programme.

Interested students will be able to pick top universities such as Imperial College London, Ulster University, University of Bradford, University of Bristol, University of East Anglia, University of Hull, University of Kent, University of Stirling, and the University of Warwick.

Those seeking to advance their careers in law and justice are also free to apply for scholarships with top universities listed including Aston University and the University of Edinburgh.

Requirements for the Scholarships

For one to be considered, must a Kenyan citizen with an undergraduate degree and demonstrate interest in the proposed subject area.

Must meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI. One must also establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfillment.

The scholarship comes with advantages as students will be required to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK.

Successful applicants must be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships. Additionally, they will be required to speak to other potential candidates about their own experience of studying in the UK.

How to Appy

Students interested in the scholarship opportunities are directed to visit the University of their choice online pages to find out information.

They are then expected to apply for individual scholarships following the instructions given on each university’s scholarship web pages.

The last day for submitting applications varies from one institution to another. Successful scholars will be informed by individual universities on the outcome of their applications.

Scholarship funding will be issued to successful scholars by individual universities after registration.
