Africa-Press – Kenya. Former National Police Service spokesperson Bruno Shioso has been re-assigned in new changes.
Shioso will now be the commandant of the National Police College- main campus in Kiganjo.
He takes over from Japhet Koome, who is Kenya’s new Inspector General of Police.
Before his appointment as the NPS spokesperson, Shioso had served with UN as a Transnational Organised Crime Expert.
In a statement, NPS said Shioso made innumerable achievements in the implementation of the NPS communication strategy, intended to advance the mission and vision of the service.
“He has also steered with great success multi-agency and multi-sectoral programmes including security operations and the campaigns on security preparedness for the 2022 general election.”
Shioso has also held senior positions at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations including at the Banking Fraud Investigations Unit and as the principal assistant to then director of DCI Francis Ndegwa Muhoro.
