Bunyore back to drawing board after 3-1 loss to Gaspo - Arunga

Africa-Press – Kenya. Bunyore Starlets coach Daniel Arunga lamented on individual mistakes that proved costly to his team following their 3-1 defeat by table-toppers Gaspo Women in the Kenya Women’s Premier League match at Gems Cambridge on April 30.

Adrine Birungi, Elizabeth Wamui and Emily Andayi scored for Gaspo, rendering Irene Meldina ‘s 35th minute goal a consolation. “We were punished for our own mistakes and sometimes it is tough to recover from errors,” Arunga said.

“They were the better side and maximised on their chances. We are back on the drawing board to plan best how to face Kangemi Ladies at our backyard,” Arunga admitted.

He added: “It was a bad day in the office. We were caught pants down. Thumbs up to Wamboi who tormented our defence at will. She was crucial in Gaspo’s victory.”

Elsewhere, Ulinzi Starlets kept another clean sheet in their 3-0 rout of Nakuru City Queens at the ASK grounds, Nakuru. The soldiers scored via Mercy Airo, Fasila Adhiambo and Neddy Atieno.
