Africa-Press – Kenya. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is leading mourners at the burial of Baringo Deputy Governor Charles Kipngok.
The funeral service is underway at the Solian Girls High School, Eldama Ravine, Baringo.
Rift Valley Commissioner Mohamed Maalim and Governor Benjamin Cheboi were among the guests who arrived early at the service.
A funeral service of the late Kipng’ok was held at the African Inland Church (AIC) in Milimani, Nairobi on Friday, where Labour Cabinet Secretary (CS) Simon Chelugui stated that President William Ruto, who was expected to be in attendance will send his deputy to represent him.
Burial committee chairman Elijah Kimanyim confirmed that all preparations were complete for the ceremony and more than 7,000 mourners are expected to attend his final send-off .
Charles Kipng’ok died on September 14 at JKIA, Nairobi, as he prepared to board a KQ flight to Mombasa.
He was set to attend the Council of Governors induction meeting, joining other DG and Governors
