Africa-Press – Kenya. Energy regulator Epra has issued an alert to the public about a fraudster who has been calling and threatening people with the intention to con them. In a statement on Friday via its Facebook page, the Petroleum Regulatory Authority said the trickster has been calling unsuspecting licencees and threatening them with revocation of their licences.
EPRA said its security team had launched an investigation into the matter to capture the subject. “Our security team is trailing information leads to capture the charlatan,” it said.
“Remember official EPRA number is 0709 336 000 and email is [email protected] Don’t be deceived, Stay Alert!” Epra said.
