Africa-Press – Kenya. The sixth leg of the Athletics Kenya track and field weekend meet that was set for Nyayo stadium has been moved to Moi International Stadium, Kasarani according to AK.
Due to the high turn out in previous meetings, the sixth and final leg will also be held over three days (Thursday-Saturday) as opposed to the normal two days.
“All athletes participating at the meet are required to register for the event prior to the competition. Registration is mandatory for all applicants,” AK said. The AK weekend meet started in Kisumu, Nairobi hosted the second leg with Thika Stadium entertaining the third meet.
The previous leg was held at the Coast. Action returned to the Coast region after ten years absence, with KPA Mbaraki Stadium staging the show between March 31 to April 1. The Trials for Budapest World Athletics Championships has been slated for July 14-15 also at Kasarani.
