Africa-PressKenya. Ford Kenya has announced formal exit from the National Super Alliance.

The National Governing Council on Saturday ratified the decision of the Management Committee to abandon the four year coalition.

Party Leader Moses Wetangula said:”Ford Kenya now and hereby resigns with immediate effect from Nasa.”

Ford Kenya now becomes the fourth Nasa affiliate party to announce leaving the coalition.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM, Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC and Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper have all announced exiting Nasa.

However, none of them has formally written to the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu as required by law.

The Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu stated that none of the three Nasa affiliate parties has written to her office to formal notify her of their resolution to quit the moribund outfit.

On Friday Nderitu told the Star that ANC, Wiper and ODM -which have already decided to part ways in the moribund Opposition coalition that was formed in the run-up to the 2017 general election were yet d

“I have not received any communication from the three parties. Maybe they are still writing them,” Nderitu told the Star on phone.

ANC was the first one to resolve to quit the outfit three weeks ago followed by Wiper Democratic Movement party on Monday and the ODM on Thursday.
