Africa-Press – Kenya. Japanese carmaker Honda recalled Tuesday more than 750,000 vehicles in US market due to an airbag issue.
The front passenger seat in certain vehicles may have a short circuit in weight sensors, failing to suppress the airbag and causing it to deploy unintentionally during a crash, said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The recall includes Honda’s Pilot, Accord and Civic sedans made in 2020-2022, and CR-V and Passport vehicles in 2020-2021, according to the agency.
In December, Honda recalled around 4.5 million vehicles globally amid fuel pump risks, including 2.5 million in the US.
