Japan PM Fumio arrives at State House for meeting with Ruto

Africa-Press – Kenya. Japan Prime Minister Kishida Fumio has arrived at State House, Nairobi, for a meeting with President William Ruto. He arrived at around 10:27 am and was received by the President.

The two will hold talks aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations. Fumio arrived in the country Tuesday evening where he was received by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua.

Kenya’s visit is the third in his itinerary to the African countries. He has been to Egypt and Ghana. “The PM will also be meeting with the Japanese business community, young volunteers and start-ups during his two-day official visit,” Mutua said in a statement.

In Egypt, Fumio had a summit meeting with President El-Sisi where discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations and issues facing the international community, including the situation in Ukraine and Sudan.
