Africa-Press – Kenya. Enterprise Cup champions Kabras will face Mean Machine in the round of 16 during next month’s Enterprise Cup.
The Kakamega-based, who won the competition two years ago after beating Impala 37-7 to the second silverware, will then face the winner between Nondies and Western Bulls in the quarterfinals.
On the same side of the draw, Quins face 2018 champions Homeboyz with the winner setting up a last-eight clash with Mwamba or Kisumu RFC.
The 2019 runners-up Impala will open their campaign against a resurgent Menengai Oilers with the winner taking on either Nakuru RFC or Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
Five-time winners KCB who are chasing a league and cup double entertain Strathmore Leos in a tricky tie with the winner confronting either Blak Blad or Mombasa Sports Club.
The round of 16 fixtures will be played on March 19 with the quarterfinals set for a week later. The semifinals are slated for April 2 with the final planned for April 9 at the RFUEA ground
The Enterprise Cup is the oldest cup competition in the country and was started by the colonial government in 1930.
Nondies have won a record 25 titles of the knockout competition but are yet to taste success since their last win in 1998. The tournament was not held the last two years due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic which disrupted sporting activities in the country.
