Africa-PressKenya. Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka seems to have disrupted President Uhuru Kenyatta’s plan to support a National Super Alliance (NASA) candidate in upcoming 2022 campaigns.

In an upcoming NTV interview, Kalonzo revealed that he would not, under any circumstance, support former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the third time in the presidential race.

He aptly noted that he was not a weakling neither was he stupid to make such a decision.

“I am not a weakling… Raila and I have never sat to discuss 2022. I will be the most stupid person on earth to support Raila Odinga for President for the third time without a measure of reciprocity.

“I’d rather go to Tseikuru than work with Raila Odinga against,” stated Musyoka.

This comes four days after the former Premier admitted that he was ready to work with Musyoka again.

While speaking at the burial of former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile, Odinga noted that their collaboration would be aimed at ensuring that the country’s leadership is transferred to the right hands.

“These people steal from the public then return here to seek prominence using stolen funds, we will eradicate that,” noted Raila.

He further vowed to deal with corrupt leaders in the manner the late Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli did in Tanzania.

On Monday, June 14, two days after Raila’s declaration, President Kenyatta, in a meeting with leaders from the Lower Eastern region at State House, vowed to support the joint candidate that the NASA coalition would field.

Uhuru had promised to endorse the oufit, which was led by four principals including Raila, Kalonzo, Amani National Congress Leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula, if they maintained maintained unity.

A day later, Deputy President William Ruto fired a furious response to his boss questioning why the president refused to offer him support.

While maintaining that nobody owed him anything during the election year, he would rely on God’s support and the people of Kenya to win the election.

“So, what happens to the Thurakus, the kumìrà kùmèrà contingent, the 8 million of us? None, no youth, no woman, no man of the 8M who woke up early and voted 3 times for Uhuru Kenyatta/William Samoei Ruto ticket merit support?” stated Ruto.
