Africa-Press – Kenya. The Kenya Pipeline Volleyball Team booked a place in the semi-finals of the CAVB Women’s African Club Championship after a convincing 3–1 victory over Directorate of Criminal Investigations Volleyball Club in a Nairobi Derby clash played in Cairo.
Pipeline took control of the match early, winning the first two sets 25–17 and 25–12 with a dominant display. Their strong serving, organised defence and sharp attacking play left DCI struggling to keep pace.
DCI, however, mounted a fightback in the third set, edging it 25–21 to briefly shift momentum and keep the contest alive.
But Pipeline responded with authority in the fourth set, regaining control to seal it 25–16 and close out the match.
The Oilers’ performance was marked by disciplined execution and strong team coordination, particularly in the second set, where they delivered a clinical 25–12 win to underline their superiority.
With the win, Pipeline advance to the semi-finals, where they will face the winner of the quarter-final clash between Kenya Commercial Bank Volleyball Club and Mayo Kani Evolution Volleyball Club.
