Africa-PressKenya. Kisii Raptors and Mustangs are targeting a place in the Kenya Basketball Federation Division Two play offs.

Raptors coach Vincent Onsongo and his Mustangs counterpart Humphrey Mugendi are confident their teams will make it to the play offs.

The two coaches spoke after the two teams clashed at Kisii University with Raptors emerging victorious after hammering Mustangs 94-74. “We played well in the second half. In the first half, our opponents dominated us but we made amends during the half time break,” said Onsongo who is a coach player.

He added: “We want to win all our home matches to be assured of a play off place. Our target is to play in the top tier league in the next two years.”

Mugendi said luck was not on their side. “Kisii played a better game than us in the second half. We have picked up our lessons ahead of our next game,” said the tactician.

He added: “As of now, we are in pole position for a play-off slot. However, we must win a huge junk of our games because the second leg has just started.”
