Africa-Press – Kenya. Kenya Ports Authority face Mozambican side Costa dol Sol in their second FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Women game at the Eduardo Mondlane University Gymnasium Maputo, Mozambique Sunday.

The porters, who had a break in the Group A match yesterday, lost their opener 76-50 to Inter Clube of Angola and must fire from all cylinders. Following the opening match loss, the five-time African champions, KPA have no choice but to deliver in their second match.

Costa dol Sol, who are the Mozambican champions, started their campaign with a 69-51 win over CNSS of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Angolan giants led 32-21 at the breather before erupting for a 20-point cushion with the scores standing at 61-36 as the third quarter ended.

“The girls gave a good fight, but again it was not enough for us. We need to step up and stay focused in the rest of the games to qualify for the quarters,” said coach Anthony Ojukwu.
