Africa-Press – Kenya. Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Saturday joined Head of Public Service Felix Koskei and a host of leaders from the political, judicial, and public service spheres in celebrating the union of Khalid Abdi and Aisha Warsame.
Khalid is the son of EACC CEO Abdi Mahamud, while the bride is the daughter of Court of Appeal Judge Justice Mohammed Warsame.
The ceremony, which was presided over by acting Chief Kadhi Sheikh Sukyan Omar Hassan, was held at the Edge convention centre in South C.
It brought together a cross-section of distinguished guests.
Duale, in his remarks, shared words of wisdom with the newlyweds and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ongoing reforms, including the rollout of the new e-procurement system.
“We reaffirmed government commitment to the new e-procurement system, despite opposition by the governors led by chairperson Ahmed Abdullahi, who also attended,” he said.
Duale said he also reiterated the administration’s sustained fight against corruption, particularly in the health sector, as part of broader institutional reforms.
Among the notable guests were Justice Aggrey Muchelule, Governors Nathif Jama (Garissa), Abdi Guyo (Isiolo), Ahmed Khalif (Mandera), and Abdul Abdullahi (Wajir).
Others were Garissa Senator Abdul Haji, MPs Abdi Ali (Ijara) and Adan Dawood (Wajir East), alongside prominent politicians, businessmen, and professionals.
