Africa-Press – Kenya. Lady Captain’s Prize this Saturday has attracted over 120 golfers at Eldoret Club. Eldoret’s former Lady Captain Faith Mburu is subsequently expected to lead the field.
Mburu, who served her term two years ago, exuded confidence ahead of the event which will tee off at 7 am at the nine-hole Eldoret Golf Club Course. She promised to live up to expectations this time round, saying she has had good training in recent weeks.
The annual tournament will mark the end of Diana Chemweno as Lady Captain as they welcome Moni Sagoo for a period of one year. “I have missed the top prize for some time, but this time around, I am confident of posting better results,” said Mburu.
Mburu has been sharpening her skills in chipping and putting as she looks forward to a better performance. “I wake up at six every morning and kick off my training with a morning walk before heading to the course,” she noted. Mburu, who won Jack Tuwei’s Captain Prize three years ago, will be looking forward to a repeat performance.
