Morocco, the reigning champions, is the first team to land in Nairobi, Kenya.

Morocco is among the most successful nations in the competition, having won the competition twice in a row, once in Cameroon in 2021 and once at home in 2018.

DR Congo, who they will play in this year’s group stage, is one of only two countries to have won the title twice.

Together with hosts Kenya, Angola, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Atlas Lions are placed in a challenging Group A.

Next Sunday, they will play Angola at the Nyayo National Stadium to begin their campaign.

In the meantime, it is anticipated that Zambia, Angola, and DR Congo, the other Group A teams, will reach Nairobi in the next few days.

The DRC and Angola will land on Thursday afternoon, while Zambia will arrive on Tuesday.

In order to guarantee a smooth welcome, including final registration, logistics, and match-readiness briefings, CAF has been collaborating closely with the three Local Organising Committees (LOC).
