He however urged them to stay focused and support President William Ruto to deliver on the mandate bestowed upon him. Mudavadi spoke on Sunday when he joined the President for the official opening and dedication of Friends Quakers Church Donholm, Nairobi. He said it is time for all Kenyans to rally behind the Kenya Kwanza administration and support its course in turning around the economy.
“Kenyans should understand and be wary of the fact that turning around the economy takes time. It is not going to be like instant coffee. We need to brace ourselves for tougher times, but there is hope. It is going to be tough before it gets better,” Mudavadi said.
He called on Kenyans to be patient and pull together as a people noting that it is time to leave politics behind and focus on delivering on the promises made by the government to the benefit of all.
“The President has got a mammoth task to turn around the economy. This can only be achieved through prayer, sacrifice, consistency and commitment,” Mudavadi said
This, he said, calls for all Kenyans to unite as a people towards achieving a common. Mudavadi noted that the agenda for Kenya Kwanza as envisioned in its PLAN and manifesto should not be distracted by political sideshows.
The Prime CS said time is of the essence if Kenyans want to match the pace of other growing economies globally. He called out those distracting the President in his bid to deliver on his agenda, noting that the government is not going to implement somebody else agenda.
Mudavadi lauded the Church for its pivotal role in fostering unity in the country both before and after the elections. He urged Quakers and Kenyans at large to support the President’s cause of nation building.
