Africa-Press – Kenya. President William Ruto on Saturday said his government will not sideline any region in development. Speaking in Migori as he finalised his three days tour in the region, Ruto said elections are over and there emerged one leader as President.

“It is time to move Kenya ahead. I want the people of Nyanza to listen to me very well. The government that I’m leading is yours and all Kenyans,” Ruto said.

He said the people had voted for their leaders including MCAs, MPs, Woman Representatives, governors and the President saying even though he had gotten a handful of votes from the region, he will treat all Kenyans equally.

“Listen to me carefully, it is impossible and I will not allow anyone to mislead or divide Kenyans because we are passed that,” the President said.

He assured Nyanza region that he will leave no one behind or allow anyone to take the Nyanza region in what he termed as the wrong direction saying they are entitled to government services and appointments just like any other Kenyans.

“I want to say for the avoidance of doubt as the President, nobody, no force will take the people of Nyanza in the wrong direction or opposite direction from the government.

Ruto also unveiled a bag of goodies for Uriri residents. The President said his administration will upgrade the Gogo power at Sh3 billion. He said that after the investment, the plan should be able to inject at least 8 megawatts of power into the national grid. At the same time, the President promised Sh120 million worth of equipment to the Uriri Technical College and gave a further 100 computers.
